ALYSSA TEE
"Incorporating nature into our everyday lives is vital as it not only brings life to our urban spaces, but also improves our state of mind."
ABOUT ME
I am Alyssa from National University of Singapore's Master of Landscape Architecture programme.
My love for plants started from young as I helped my grandparents out in our garden, and grew as I went on frequent nature trails with my CCA, Girl Guides.
I want to design spaces where people feel a sense of belonging. Not only will I strive for ecological balance but it is also important for me to facilitate community bonding through creating an inviting, natural environment.
By adopting a simplistic approach in my design, it allows the beauty of nature to shine through, fostering newly found appreciation for the environment.
MY INTERESTS
NATURE
Trekking with friends is one of my favourite pastimes. Being immersed in nature brings me a sense of peace, a pleasant break from my busy life.
I've also recently joined NParks' "Youth Stewards for Nature" programme where I get the opportunity to design and implement a pollinator-friendly edible garden (team picture on slide 1).
CONCERTS
The feeling of adrenaline, the thundering beats of the drums, and the absolute freedom of screaming out lyrics to my favourite songs.
