CAMPUS ON A HILL
enhancing the steep terrains of NUS
Campus on a Hill
The planting throughout the campus of NUS does not have a unique character or identity. The only interaction users have with the green spaces is by simply walking across it as a shortcut. To me, something distinct about the site is that NUS sits on an undulating terrain, with numerous slopes filling up the empty spaces in the campus. Turning this into an advantage that benefits both the public and members of NUS will be the main focus of the project.
Three spots around the campus were chosen to be studied.
Each fits into one of three categories:
Linear Greenery - Along Clementi Road
Patch of Greenery - Hill outside SDE4
Greenery Between Buildings - In between E3A and LT7
